Maxmag attracts visitors to Northern Manufacturing

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Maxmag Moulded Magnets brings its specialist moulding services to Northern Manufacturing 2013. The company is one of only a few UK firms with the expertise and technology to injection mould a fully magnetised component. The Injection moulding process is a proven method of making components in complex shapes to tight tolerances.  Using this process, rather than the older technique of sintering magnets, the company can orientate the magnetic poles in a component to meet each customer’s requirement. Magnets can be supplied isotropic or anisotropic with poles orientated, radially, conically, axially or in combinations. As the poles are orientated during the manufacturing process it is also possible to over mould and insert mould magnets to provide customers with a completed component, removing the requirement for post- operation assembly.

Tooling and magnets are manufactured in-house at the factory in Birmingham, UK. The company also offers a design consultancy service for the early stage development of projects. Long term relationships are built on the culture of working with customers to provide an intelligently engineered solution.

Visitors to the stand will see many examples of magnets, with viewer cards to see the magnetic field on existing components. Also on the stand will be Andel Plastics Ltd, the company’s injection moulding and tool-making business, offering a further service under a single roof.
