Brandauer goes from strength to strength

Birmingham-based Brandauer will be showcasing its precision presswork and stamping expertise at Northern Manufacturing and Electronics 2013. The firm, a key member of the award-winning Midlands Assembly Network, supplies high volume precision components to the automotive, building products, electronics, medical and renewables sectors.

Brandauer, recent winner of HSBC’s Midlands Regional Global Connections Award, has had an extremely eventful year, celebrating its 150 years in business with a Royal visit and an increase in export sales to markets including the US, China and South Africa.

The company, which employs 52 people, has also invested nearly £1m into state-of-the-art facilities, including a new laser marking capability and two new high-speed Bruderer presses.

Rowan Crozier, Sales and Marketing Director for Brandauer, commented:

“We are always looking at ways we can add value for our customers and this might be in speeding up processes, solving engineering problems or reducing cost by taking out some of the material content.

“Sustained investment in people and the best possible machinery is all part of this approach. The Bruderer BSTA 280-752B2 and BSTA 510-125B2 will help us produce a staggering 2 billion parts every year and could open up £2.5m in new sales.

“Importantly, it will also help us go after more tool transfer work as companies look to outsource problematic components.”
