Five-axis machining location system launched at Northern Manufacturing

PTG Workholding will launch its new Inclatec zero point location system at Northern Manufacturing 2013. Although developed primarily for five-axis applications, the system can be used with any machining centre to enable the fast changeover from mandrel to collet, to fixture in a matter of seconds. It has a high precision location system operating on the ball lock principle for precise, rapid machining.

PTG-tmb PTG Workholding is one of the best known names in UK engineering, having built its reputation on the design and supply of mandrels and expanding sleeves to the precision engineering industry. The company supplies bespoke designs for machine chucks and auto loading equipment, designed and manufactured to exacting specifications. Products can be designed and modelled, with sizes ranging from 12 to 650mm in diameter.

Describing itself as a one-stop shop, the firm has supplied Rolls Royce Bristol for many years and the Sunderland, Derby and Hucknall manufacturing plants for over three years. Having recently supplied fixtures for the Trent 700, 800, 900 1000, and the latest XWB engines, the company is well placed to service any aerospace account whether internal or external workholding is required.
