Amada HG Press Brake debuts at Northern Manufacturing 2013

Amada has chosen the Northern Manufacturing show to demonstrate its latest flagship press brake for the first time in the UK. Featuring a patented hybrid drive system and a new ‘Smartphone style’ 3D control unit, the HG is the fastest and most accurate press brake within the Amada range. Also available for demonstration at the show will be Amada’s new Product Designer software which has the capability to unfold 3D sheet metal models and automatically apply unfold data and feature recognition ready for manufacture.

Amada HG-8025_tmb The HG machine uses electric servo driven hydraulics. The patented Hybrid Drive system has a positioning accuracy of 0.001mm, says the company, providing users with increased accuracy and repeatability along with reduced running costs using 50% less power and 60% less oil. Highly accurate bending is also achieved using an automatic material thickness detection system and new active lower beam which automatically adjusts during part processing. The new AMNC3i extra large touch screen control puts all the information at the operator’s fingertips and enables quick and easy programming with direct DXF file input and 3D part simulation. The machine can also be tailored to suit your specific production with Amada S-Grip, Wila or pneumatic tool clamping options, as well as BI-S and BI-L automatic angle measurement systems. All of these innovative features are combined with high bending speeds some 2.5 times faster than a conventional machine, which says Amada, makes the new HG the most versatile and productive press brake available.
