TRUMPF highlights precision bending technologies

Among the range of production technologies showcased by TRUMPF at Northern Manufacturing 2013, for example, punching and laser cutting, welding, processing and marking, the company will be highlighting its expertise in precision bending.

TMT734 tmb The TruBend Series 3000 press brake exemplifies the productivity, flexibility and efficiency of the TRUMPF approach. The entry-level machine saves space, is economical and “supremely productive”, says the company. It also has many advanced features that belie its low cost – it is simple to programme, set-up and operate.

The machine can be specified with two, four or five-axis back gauge for flexible and dynamic indexing. Auto tool clamping allows for a fast tool set-up, while support brackets ensure ergonomic handling. Another feature is that the automatic crowning can be easily de-activated for off-centre bending.

The company has been building press brakes for nearly 25 years, together with manufacturing machine tools and automation options used around the world.

TRUMPF will show its full tooling range, at stand C14, with its complete series of power tools – portable nibblers, shears and bevellers as well as the new TruTool TPC 165, for cutting sandwich panels up to 165mm thick.
