MSS Lasers focuses on customer service
Visitors to Northern Manufacturing will have the opportunity to learn about the extraordinary success of exhibitor MSS Lasers. Following the opening of a new showroom in 2010, the Rugby-based firm has recently doubled the size of its headquarters to cope with rapidly increasing demand for its nitrogen generation modules and pre-owned laser cutters. The new 32,000 sq-ft facility will allow the firm extra capacity to refurbish machines and build nitrogen generators as well as improving operational efficiency.
MSS Lasers has 12 Service Engineers offers independent service programmes for all major brands of laser as well as supporting its own machines. Further developments at the firm include the appointment of industry veteran Brian Harper as Technical Director and new CRM systems to improve response times for service calls. MSS Lasers has also recently launched a new website that enables customers to request parts online and browse the range of refurbished lasers for sale. At any one time MSS Lasers has around 20 machines undergoing refurbishment, together with extensive stocks of spare parts, which enable rapid-response exchange spare part service for older machines.
MSS Lasers also offers a warranty-backed refurbishment service for laser resonators, with work carried out in its own in-house facility. The service provided by MSS Lasers is claimed to be the first of its kind in the UK, which the firm says delivers significant savings to customers while keeping their machines running economically.
