TRUMPF’s hottest press brake makes first UK appearance

TRUMPF edit2_tmbShown in the UK for the first time at Northern Manufacturing 2016, the TruBend Series 5000 press brake’s reputation goes before it. It has become the most successful press brake, worldwide, for TRUMPF, securing a number of orders for the Luton-based company.

It is designed for high productivity, from programming and tool set-up through to the bending process itself. At Northern Manufacturing, for visitors will be able to see why it is proving so popular, as it will be the stand’s main feature.

Not only it is fast, it is also very flexible in its application and capable of bending a wide variety of parts with the greatest precision, says the company. Two angle measurement systems enhance accuracy and repeatability, while a new control concept is described as revolutionary in its simplicity and intuitive to use. It is eco-friendly, only consuming energy during the bending process.

Metalworking technology to feature on the stand is laser welding. The five-axis, TruLaser Station 5005 is a space-saving, easy to operate machine for welding a variety of materials. It is affordably priced and designed for low- to medium-volume work. It has three linear axes, a rotary axis and swivel axis for focusing the optics, permitting welding angles up to 120 degrees. All axes can be interpolated simultaneously, so that even parts with complex geometries can be joined easily.

To demonstrate laser marking technology, the company will present its TruMark Station 3000 with a TruMark 5010 beam source. This compact, simple, safe and robust workstation combines average power with beam quality to deliver cost-effective results, even with demanding marking tasks.

Completing the stand exhibits will be portable fabrication equipment and information on the range of support services available throughout the lifetime of a machine.
