Software defines tool positions
Visitors to the Zoller UK stand at Northern Manufacturing 2016 will be able to see the company’s popular, universal measuring machine, the Venturion Smartcheck system. There will be an interactive demonstration of the machine and its tool presetting capabilities, alongside an introduction to Tool Management Solutions (TMS).
The company will also launch the Turning Advisor software function that allows the user to define a variety of tool positions on turn mill machines. This eliminates the need for adaptors to be set up on the machine, improving time efficiency during turning and milling machining operations.
At ‘Get to Know Industry 4.0’, the company will discuss total connectivity technology which involves cyber-physical processes, safely transferring data between machines to eliminate manpower and increase production.
The company produces micron-precise tool pre-setting, inspection, measurement, and management systems, with the aim of providing accurate, reliable and efficient machinery to increase production by reducing machine tool downtime by an average of 12.5%.
