In-house capability to modify enclosures

Hammond-edit_tmbHammond Manufacturing will place particular emphasis on new developments at this year’s Northern Manufacturing show, such as the 1551USB, optimised for the USB interface, and application-specific design for Raspberry Pi, Arduino, BeagleBone and other development boards. At this year’s show, as well as its range of enclosures, the company will also exhibit a selection of modified enclosures that highlight its in-house capability.

The company specialises in the design and manufacture of die-cast and extruded aluminium enclosures, moulded ABS and polycarbonate plastic and metal enclosures for portable and hand held equipment, desktop instruments, miniature controllers and similar applications.

It produces an extensive range of standard products and provides factory modification services to configure its enclosures to suit the needs of a specific project, reducing up-front cost and speeding time-to-market. To help with the modification process, AutoCAD and PDF dimensioned drawings of all products can be downloaded from the company website. In-house modification capability encompasses milling, punching, drilling and four-colour digital and traditional silk screening. Enclosures can be painted or moulded in corporate colours.
