Components demonstrate 3D design and development

Universal Fabrication editPrecision, multi-disciplined manufacturer, Universal Fabrication, has provided sheet metal products and services for over 40 years. It has invested in a fully equipped hi-tech CNC machine shop with five-axis milling.

At Northern 2016 the firm will be highlighting its engineering capabilities on difficult-to-manufacture parts, small to medium production batches for automotive, rail, defence, aerospace, logistics, R&D and special projects.

On display will be the full range of services with component samples produced on our range of equipment including 3D design and development, CNC turning and five-axis milling, EDM wire cutting, aluminium and stainless welding, MIG robotic and manual and spot welding. There is also CNC bending, up to 4m, 4kw automated laser cutting capacity, automatic multi-tool punch/laser combo, wire forming – up to 10mm stainless steel wire diameter, shot blasting, assembling facilities, in-house inspection with CMM and laser optic smart scope. The company is ISO 9001:2008-accredited.

The recent acquisition, the Robomac 210 CNC wire bending machine will enable fast efficient turnaround on small to large component orders, says the company.
