Sensors, scopes and software demonstrate metrology capabilities

OGP exhibit_tmbOGP UK is holding the first demonstration of Zone3 software on its stand at Northern Manufacturing 2016, which opened this morning.  Also on the stand is the SmartScope CNC 200 multi-sensor measurement system features the (through-the-lens) TTL Laser and Touch Probe, demonstrating the CNC’s metrological capabilities and speed using a selection of both metal and plastic components through laser scanning and optical measurement.

The metrology software is used in conjunction with SmartScope systems, allowing users to acquire faster measurements, future-proof capabilities and ease-of-use, says the company. It incorporates full 3D CAD programming, interactive reporting with live data and graphs, multi-sensor auto-path creation and live kinematic model simulation of machine with DRF and GD&T animation. It also integrates the ability to operate SmartScope multi-sensor systems, working with any combination of sensors and a fast routine to maximise automatic repeatability generation.

The company claims to be the first to develop a video measuring machine (VMM) using video technology to measure components repetitively, accurately and efficiently.

Challenge OGP! Bring along one of your parts to Northern Manufacturing 2016 today and tomorrow, and it will demonstrate how easy it is to measure components on one of the machines. Witness the multi-sensor metrology capabilities to learn how its machines can improve productivity.
