Specialist in sheet metal fabrication of low-high volume, Jenks & Cattell has offered service and quality for 131 years. The firm brings its unique legacy and capabilities to Northern Manufacturing 2017.
The company specialises in laser cutting, metal fabrication, pressings/stampings and welded assemblies, investing heavily in both machinery and people in recent years, including a new 400 tonne progression press, 250 tonne coil fed press, four additional robotic welders and one additional laser cutting machine.
Alongside this investment, it has employed over 30 additional employees since 2014 and introduced a double shift in the working day. According to the company, the engineering investments provide customers with a higher quality of component completed to enhanced manufacturing efficiency time.
2016-2017 has been a particularly good year for quality standards as the company retained its TS 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and achieved customer specific quality and service awards from Caterpillar and Cummins Engines.
