Automotive trade body guides strategies and relationships in automotive industry
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) is one of the largest and most influential trade associations in the UK. Its resources, reputation and resource of automotive data place it at the heart of the UK automotive industry. The organisation is one of the key supporters of Northern Manufacturing 2019 and will have a presence in the main exhibition area.
The association is the voice of the UK motor industry, supporting and promoting its members’ interests, at home and abroad, to government, stakeholders and the media. A key part of that role is to ensure that SMMT provides networking opportunities through regional events to promote the automotive industry within the north of the country.
The association represents more than 800 automotive companies in the UK, providing them with a forum to voice their views on issues affecting the sector, helping to guide strategies and build positive relationships with government and regulatory authorities.
It also provides targeted networking, with member-only groups and committees that are also a platform for industry representation. Members can attend prestigious industry conferences, events and roadshows, for free or at a discounted rate.
