Laser marking and welding demonstrated at Northern 2014

Not just one type of industrial laser system but a range of laser technologies, will be on display at the Laser Lines stand at Northern Manufacturing & Electronics 2014

Laserlines-preview-edit_tmb Visitors will be invited to use both the laser marking and laser welding systems on the stand, alongside displays of cutting, cladding and micromachining laser systems, Compact Ulyxe Laser Marking System (pictured), CO2 Laser Marking System, Compact High Power Fibre Laser Marking Systems and DPSS Laser Marking Technology.

Laser welding is not just used for basic welding applications, but is an alternative method of manufacture offering consistent, high quality, neat results, without heat damage or discoloration. The company can supply manual, semi-automatic and fully automated programmable laser welding systems for use in the medical, jewellery and mould tool industries as well as automotive and general engineering laser welding.

Laser marking has become standard in most manufacturing sectors due to the speed and quality of mark that can be achieved. The reduced cost of the compact and reliable systems makes this a popular technology that includes fibre lasers, DPSS lasers and CO2 laser systems. These are used extensively in medical, cutting tools, oil and gas, automotive and general engineering applications as well as in the food and packaging sector.
