Ready and able for custom cables

With a 67,000sq ft warehouse housing over 3,500 product lines and another 6,000 on short lead times, Northern Manufacturing exhibitor FS Cables is confident it will have the cable you need. There are also over 800 CPR-compliant cables including Alternative to Belden, structured wiring, fibre, coax, signal and control and power cables.

There is no cut-off time for orders, says the company and next working-day delivery is standard to the UK mainland and free on orders over £100. For urgent shipments, there is a range of express delivery options and a same-day courier is also possible – time and distance permitting. Cables are cut to length on many product lines meaning customers only buy what is needed, reducing waste and saving money.

A dedicated export team supplies cables outside the UK, with essential paperwork and certificates and dispatched by courier, air, sea and road. Unlike other suppliers, export packaging is supplied as standard.

For cable manufactured to a specification or standard, whether a printed or coloured jacket through to composite cables containing multiple elements, the company can also help with over-sheathing or steel wire armouring (SWA) to an existing cable, with short lead times and quantities as low as 100m.

A call-off order service consists of contracts up to 12 months to help fix costs. Cables will be invoiced when delivered, spreading the cost for contractors who have limited storage on site or OEMs who may require a regular amount of cable for a particular application.

The company was been awarded the Feefo Gold Trusted Service Award for the second year running. It is also preparing Issue 12 of its cabling guide. The handy A5 ‘little red book’ is a useful resource for buying and specifying electric cables, with technical information, application data and images for over 8,000 products, a must have resource for those involved in buying or specifying electric cables.
