Apprenticeships are proving an effective route into a rewarding career for increasing numbers of young people. If your firm is considering taking on apprentices, a visit to the Salford and Trafford Engineering Group Training Association (STEGTA) stand is essential. The organisation was established in 1966 to act as the central training department for a small number of engineering companies in the Salford area. It now attends to the training needs of hundreds of companies throughout the UK.
The association offers a free apprenticeship recruitment service where a vacancy is advertised on The National Apprenticeship website and shortlists candidates based on your requirements.
It covers electrical engineering, welding and fabrication, construction engineering, heating and ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration and plumbing.
