Silchrome’s investment programme pays dividends
Maintaining a programme of continuous investment to improve and expand the range coatings and finishing processes it provides, Silchrome Plating’s range of services runs into the hundreds, with different grades and specifications for each particular process. The firm will highlight many of the options available at Northern Manufacturing 2015.
It offers electroplating (chrome, copper, hard chrome, nickel, silver, tin, zinc), electroless nickel (medium and high phosphorous), conversion coatings (alocrom, anodise, hard anodise, phosphating), specialist spray coatings (Xylan, Molykote, Everslik, PT402, lacquers), paint (two part epoxy primers and water-based paints), power coating, shot blasting and polishing.
The company is primarily focused on meeting low to medium volume production requirements. If a customer has a requirement for a process that it does not already offer, a new process has been brought online on a number of occasions. It has also worked with customers to solve technical challenges using existing processes – something that, the firm points out, high volume suppliers are often not been willing to do.
