Product development celebrates award
Embedded system design, surface-mount and through-hole PCB assembly, cable manufacture, box build, and testing are offered by Datalink Electronics. The Northern Manufacturing & Electronics 2016 exhibitor recently won Medilink EM awards for innovation and export achievements.
The company specialises in, but is not restricted to, the oil and gas, process control and medical device industries, where safety and reliability are of paramount importance, and where it is essential to adhere to product standards and good engineering practice.
It is accredited to the ISO9001 quality standard for general design and manufacture, and ISO13485 for medical devices. It also designs and manufactures products to work in explosive atmospheres (where ATEX and IECEx standards apply). An advanced MRP system is used to manage all activities and parts within the factory.
Products developed and now manufactured include a dose-measurement system for a needle-free syringe, a system for diagnosing urinary problems, pipeline inspection and assessment equipment, intrinsically-safe high-speed data transmission modules, process plant monitoring devices, and well-head data acquisition and logging systems. It has collaborated in the development of a diagnostic system for measuring the glucose levels in interstitial fluid, and is developing a new drug delivery system.
